Your gift helps SPARK! Creative Lab provide free, Veteran-led arts workshops and cohorts across Oklahoma—while paying artists fairly and building lasting creative community.
SPARK! workshops are free to Veterans. Your support helps keep them that way.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION. LOCAL COMMITMENT.
SPARK! is one of only 48 organizations nationwide—and the only organization in Oklahoma—to receive a 2026 Creative Forces® Community Engagement Grant.
The award will expand L.O.V.E. — Listen to Oklahoma Veterans’ Expression—our ongoing pathway of introductory workshops, artist-led cohorts, public sharing, and documentary storytelling.
But the grant does not replace community support. It requires SPARK! to provide a 1:1 cost share through cash and eligible in-kind contributions.
Creative Forces is investing alongside the Oklahoma community. Your support helps us meet that commitment and bring the full project to life.
WHAT YOUR GIFT MAKES POSSIBLE
Your support helps provide:
• Fair pay for Veteran and civilian artists
• Free workshops and cohorts for Veterans and their families
• Art supplies, instruments, and workshop materials
• Travel to Veterans Homes and communities across Oklahoma
• Training in military cultural competency and mental health awareness
• Documentary storytelling that brings Veteran voices to the wider community
A Veteran may first meet SPARK! through a two-hour workshop, return for a creative cohort, and eventually become a paid artist or facilitator leading others.
That progression requires more than a single event. It requires continuity, trust, and people who believe in the work.

The arts give communities the tools to tell their own stories. Your gift helps ensure that Veterans have the skills, resources, and opportunities to express whatever they wish—and that the broader community is prepared to listen.

• 40+ creative workshops delivered across Oklahoma
• 240+ Veterans participated in creative programs
• 1,800+ Oklahomans reached through outreach
• 4 Veterans now employed as SPARK! company artists
